Horses
Sketch a day - Day 64/365
I loved seeing the horses in the field this morning. They gave me a calm and direct look which said clearly, seize the day mother fucker. Or don't. It's all grass to us. And we will be here whatever happens next. And while you are off busying yourself with the tribulations of your adventure, we shall be quietly holding all the sorrows of the world, calm as. Calm as. Holding all the sorrows. Because we know all the secrets of your heart. We don't ask why. We just do.
And so, I felt it was the least I could do to come home and knuckle down to some tough old typing at and into the story of Otherhood.
Doing some proper wrestling with ideas and hopes and dreams.
It was like chopping firewood. It was not pretty work but the horses were right. It had to be faced and it had to be done.
And now I am finally finding my way into this script.
The horses are always right. Always. And that's the news.
